My name is Roland and I live in Thousand Oaks, CA. I’m 39 years old and I have a 13 year-old daughter from a previous marriage. I had an American girlfriend for about 2 years. Things were going well and we were talking about moving in together, you know, taking the “next step.” One day she told me that she ran into an old friend (Bill) and that they went for drinks. I took the break-up pretty hard. It’s not like she wanted to spend some time alone or anything. She was leaving me for another man and that was a pretty major hit to my ego.

Anyway, I wasn’t sure how I was going to meet a girl from Russia. I live in California and I really wasn’t interested in a long distance relationship. Now, Veronica and I are engaged! She is in Russia right now but she’s planning a trip to the U.S. in August. She won’t be able to stay for good, only until her Visa expires. We are doing everything we need to do to get married and have her become a U.S. Citizen. She is different than any woman I have ever met and I honestly believe it’s because of her culture and up-bringing. Russian women are the most loving and nurturing women you will ever meet. They aren’t caught up in material things like how much money you make of what kind of car you drive. Veronica and I are very much in love and I can’t wait to have her at my house for good!
